Congregational Meeting

November 17th @12:30pm

Join us on Sunday, November 17th for a Congregational Meeting! We'll be gathering to vote* for our current elder candidate Chris Putney, as well as discuss the newest updates and changes to our Principles and Practices document. You can review both the original and revised documents below. We hope to see you there!


*Only current HCBCGT members can vote on an elder candidate and the proposed changes in our Principles and Practices.

Principles and Practices

The Updates to the Principles and Practices include:


  1. Formal changes in elder terms. Section I B 3
  2. More descriptive Senior pastor section to reflect our now larger church. Section I C
  3. Addition of Section 1 D (Pastors and Directors)
  4. Edits to Staff section to reflect our now larger church. Section I E
  5. Minor changes to Membership. Section II
  6. Addition of Section V (Church Plant Relationships)
  7. Addition of a Revision Table
  8. Various minor formatting changes


Elder Candidate: Chris Putney

Chris has been a member of Hill Country Bible Church Georgetown for 28 years. He grew up in El Paso and attended the University of Texas At El Paso. He then obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed his Family Practice Residency in Temple, Texas, where he met his wife, Allison. Chris practices Family Medicine in private practice at Family Medicine Associates of Round Rock.


Chris has been committed to Hill Country Bible Church and believes strongly in its foundations as a Grace based church. He has served in many areas over the years. He has served on the Worship Team since 1997, worked in children's ministry with 4th and 5th graders, and served in Youth Ministry for the past 14 years. Chris has also served previously on the Elder Board.


Chris and Allison have been married for 28 years. They have three grown children who all live in Texas and are all committed to the Lord and serving him in ministry.
